…And cats, and chickens, and horses, and ALL THE ANIMALS!

You know when you’re really excited about something and it’s all you can think about? For me, that thing is caring for animals!

I’ve been lucky to explore so many different facets of animal care: owning pets, working as a veterinary tech, receiving certification in service dog training, training a service dog, walking large packs of dogs, and rollerjoring with high energy dogs. I’ve also been lucky to be entrusted to care for thousands of pets (literally), allowing many opportunities to refine my handling skills and knowledge, as well as photography skills.

I started Fur Sure after my husband and I bought a big yard with a house for our dog, Mona. I left my 9-5 at a holistic vet clinic so that I could provide full-time care to animals in Veneta. I love Oregon and am so happy to be serving this community. When my world isn’t revolving around dogs, I enjoy playing hockey, practicing speed puzzling techniques, finding the best donuts, and adventuring with my husband Dave and our dog Mona.

He’s known for giving the best pets!

While Dave technically has a real job, he gets roped into pet care at night and on weekends. Chances are, if your dog has stayed with us, Dave has pet, played with, thrown a ball for, or fed it at some point.

I wouldn’t be able to care for all the animals if it wasn’t for him.

She works hard, she plays hard.

Mona loves her role as canine ambassador at Fur Sure HQ. She’s never met a dog, a cat, or a human she didn’t like. She’s skilled at befriending shy dogs and showing new dogs the ropes at camp.

Mona’s motto is: the more, the merrier. If it were up to her, life would be one giant sleepover camp, and someone (preferably Dave) would be petting her every minute of the day.
